ADCC German Open Championships 2023

The national championships of ADCC Germany last weekend in Herrenberg were a real national highlight in the sport of grappling. Fighters from the best teams have fought over seven hours in the hallowed halls of the German Top Team Performance Centers measured at the Gym 24 Lifestyle in Herrenberg.

And there was a lot for friends and fans to marvel at, such as the strong performance of Benedikt Schotthöfer, the battles of Marco Knöbel and the rise of a new star in the women's grappling sky with Annbelle Heimerdinger, who is still unbeaten at ADCC. She not only won the title at the Open AND the Nationals this year, but also took gold at the Super Series this year in February, even though she started one class higher.

ADCC is the Breeding Ground for Champions

Already in the past years, the events of ADCC Germany have become the breeding ground of future international champions. For example, Meraz Avdoyan, who became the first German European champion at ADCC and qualified for the World Championships. Or Frank Stäblein, the first ADCC Europe finalist. The fact is that the events of ADCC Germany prepare the participants for important competitions at the international level.
