SHOOTO KINGS 9: first names known

On May 16th German Shooto history will be written again in Reutlingen. For the first time all main fights will be Shooto Kings be staffed with women. In doing so, the German Top Team on their own female fighters, who are expected to face strong international competition.

On everyone's lips at the moment is Bellator Veteran Judith Ruis from the Budokeller Bonlanden. Already in Ireland she announced in interviews that she would like to stand in the ring again at Shooto Kings. Here she had already shown twice what she is made of, when she stood against the Japanese top fighter Yukari Nabe and the Ukrainian Iryna Godynets in the ring. At the same time, Judith has also long been the darling of the local fans and has fought her way up to the "fan favorite" with her strong yet technically adept fighting style.

After her defeat on points against the Irish Leah McCourt in the main event of Bellator in Dublin two weeks ago, a victory in front of the home crowd is now imperative. However, match-maker Peter Angerer is known for the fact that there are no "easy" fights with him and also in this case an extremely strong opponent is in the conversation for Judith. In any case, it is safe to assume that Judith will be in top form as always with the backing of her vociferous fans and will put her stamp on the fight.

Also Tanja Angerer from the Total Combat Thannberg is to show what she can do again at Shooto Kings after her professional Shooto debut in Japan. The current No. 2 women's "Pound for Pound" in Germany had a tough nut to crack at the last Shooto Kings with the Swiss Bestare Kicaj and was only able to apply the winning armbar in the third round. This strong victory against a real RIZIN veteran brought her the first fight at Professional Shooto Japan, where she lost to the favorite Mina Kurobe in the second round. So the stakes are high for Tanja as well, as she looks to get back on the winning track.

Who knows Tanja, knows that the strong all-rounder is good for a surprise in every second of the fight and especially with her trademark - the armbar - the submission specialist is always dangerous. Finding a suitable opponent for her will be a tough task, as she is known far beyond the country's borders.

The "crown jewel" of this women's trio ("Tres Lauchos"), however, is Christina Brauchle from Kemptn, Germany. Team Alps BJJ. The mother of two made a dream come true last year and created a real sensation when she first won the European Amateur Shooto Championships in May and then became the first non-Japanese woman to win the "All Japan Amateur Shooto Championships" in Odawara in September.

She was immediately promoted to professional status by the Japan Shooto Association and of course she wants to make her long awaited professional debut at SHOOTO KINGS IX: "Kunoichi". She will also face an internationally experienced fighter in the bantamweight division.
